Bereavement Services
Grieving is normal.
When experiencing the loss of a loved one there may be many different thoughts, feelings, and emotions happening all at once. Everyone mourns in their own unique way. Grief can affect us emotionally, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
Even though grief is a natural and healthy reaction to the death of a loved one, it may feel overwhelming and isolating. The support offered by hospice does not end at death.
HOW LONG DOES GRIEF LAST?
Grief lasts as long as it takes to adjust to the changes in your life. The process may take months or even years. Grief has no timetable; and those who have experienced it know, there is no schedule for the thoughts, emotions, behaviors and other responses that may arise.
Our bereavement team can provide individual grief counseling if your loved one received hospice services. Our bereavement coordinator is available to listen, support, and guide you through your grief process.
